Cirebon, August 17, 2025 — Indonesia commemorated its 80th Independence Day on August 17, 2025. This annual celebration serves as an important moment to remember the struggle and sacrifices of the nation’s heroes while strengthening the spirit of unity, patriotism, and dedication to the country.

The 80th anniversary carries the theme “Nusantara Baru, Indonesia Maju”, reflecting the spirit of Indonesia to continue moving forward, embracing change, and building a better future. The commemoration also reminds younger generations of their important role in contributing to the development of the nation.

As part of the academic community, students and lecturers are encouraged to interpret independence not only through ceremonial activities but also through meaningful contributions in education, research, community service, and other positive activities. For students in particular, studying diligently, developing skills, and contributing to society are important ways to continue the spirit of the nation's independence.
